  1. Harnessing Vehicle Potential Energy<\/strong>
    The CARS TO TREES<\/strong> system utilizes the untapped potential energy of vehicles\u2014including forward motion, miles traveled, airflow, velocity, wasted engine heat, and other unused energy streams\u2014to power Direct Air Carbon Capture (DAC)<\/strong>. This approach transforms everyday driving into a powerful tool for CO\u2082 removal.<\/p><\/li>

  2. Turning Cars into Mobile Air Cleaners<\/strong>
    Today, each vehicle contributes about five metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions per year<\/strong>. By equipping cars with the CARS TO TREES<\/strong> system, every vehicle could instead capture 8\u201310 metric tons of CO\u2082 annually<\/strong>, simply by driving. Vehicles become mobile DAC units<\/strong>\u2014nonstationary processing plants cleaning the air at a global scale\u2014just by continuing their normal daily use.<\/p><\/li>

  3. Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) Opportunities<\/strong>
    The CO\u2082 captured through the CARS TO TREES<\/strong> system can be directly supplied to Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) industries<\/strong>, where demand is already strong. Applications range from carbon-neutral fuels, methanol production, and chemical synthesis<\/strong> to enhanced oil recovery, mineralization, agriculture, microalgae biofuels, food and beverage, welding, and fire suppression<\/strong>.
    By calculation, the value of CO\u2082 captured per car (8\u201310 tons\/year) equals 40\u201350% of a vehicle\u2019s annual fuel cost<\/strong>, effectively reducing fuel expenses and creating a strong financial incentive<\/strong> for adoption.<\/p><\/li>

  4. Breaking the Cost Barrier of DAC<\/strong>
    In traditional DAC systems, the cost of energy<\/strong> is the greatest barrier to scalability, especially because stationary systems must generate their own kinetic energy (airflow). In contrast, the CARS TO TREES<\/strong> system leverages prepaid kinetic energy and wasted vehicle energy<\/strong>. This dramatically reduces the cost of CO\u2082 capture, making it far more competitive than conventional DAC technologies.<\/p><\/li>

  5. Scalable Throughput & Global Impact<\/strong>
    Each CARS TO TREES-equipped vehicle<\/strong> can capture approximately 25 kg of CO\u2082 per day<\/strong>, or 8\u20139 metric tons per year<\/strong>. To put this into perspective, removing one ton of CO\u2082 annually requires about 50 mature trees<\/strong>. Therefore, one car outfitted with the system is equivalent to planting 450 trees<\/strong> every year.
